Transportation
Ashland is located on I-5 and can be easily reached by driving, flying or taking the bus. Regardless of the form of transportation you choose, please be sure to fill out the Transportation Registration Form so that we know when to expect you and what accommodation you will need.
Flying or Taking the Bus
If you choose to fly or take the bus, you will arrive in Medford, a city about 20 miles north of Ashland. Our transportation committee will be picking delegates up from both the Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport and the Greyhound bus station. The cost of transportation to and from the airport or bus station is $20/delegation.
Driving
Delegates will be staying in Cox Hall, and are encouraged to park in lots 12 and 13 directly below the building. You can go online to the SOU Campus Map and click on the box next to “Parking Lots” at the bottom of the screen to see all the lots labeled. There will be signs to guide you on the day of your arrival as well.
Parking permits will be provided by SOU’s Department of Residence Life. When completing the transportation registration form, please indicate how many parking permits you will need so we can have those ready upon your arrival.
Directions from I-5 South
1. Take Exit 14 off of I-5 South.
2. Make a right turn onto Ashland St.
3. You'll want to be in the left lane on Ashland St., but you have about a mile to do this.
4. Turn right as Ashland St. becomes Siskiyou Blvd.
5. Turn left onto Indiana St. (This is immediately after you turn onto Siskiyou – it is the first stop light.)
6. Make the first left you can off of Indiana Street. There will be signs directing you to the
parking lot.
Directions from I-5 North
1. Take Exit 14 off of I-5 North.
